yeah I currently have to live in my bed but at least I have inception glasses and I’m not missing any good weather
The short story is I’ve broken three or four v important bones in my foot and I may need surgery. So instead of growing food and caring for livestock I’m in the house watching flies land on my toe.

This extended winter is crushing our souls
I kind of isolated myself over the winter. I’m feeling the effects of a year off the biologic meds, and I’ve also been kind of taking stock and reassessing what I’m doing with the farm, life, etc.
Penny is still here and starting to look for work. She’s had a very rough nine months after breaking her engagement, but she’s coming back to life again. She’s not sure yet what her next move will be, but she’s visiting friends in Phoenix next week for a much needed sunshine and friend love break.
John’s work is finally starting to pick up again. He’s busted his ass and had many sleepless nights since he was laid off last year. He really didn’t want to change industries so I’m happy for him that he found a good account to rep.

In a few weeks we’ll have stew hens and whole ducks for sale if you want some good eating. While John’s work was in flux I kind of put the farm into neutral, so we’re starting to grind back into motion. We also have eggs, duck eggs, pork soon and lamb in a couple of months.
